POST TITLE: NATIONAL POOL QUALIFIED LIFEGUARD (LEISURE FACILITIES ASSISTANT LEVEL 2)
CASUAL HOURS AS AND WHEN REQUIRED
ALL SITES - MAINLY FOR LOFTUS + SALTBURN LEISURE CENTRES
£6.47 PER HOUR

The successful candidate will be expected to undertake a range of duties in lifeguarding & dry side activities as appropriate, in connection with operational efficiency, and the development of a variety of activities in the areas of sport, leisure and recreation.

The main responsibility will be the supervision of poolside customers to ensure the care and safety of bathers in line with our Pool Safety Operating procedures.  Other responsibilities will include; the safe setting up and taking down of equipment, dealing with customers, assisting supervision/coaching of groups, and general cleaning and housekeeping. 

You must be a competent swimmer and prepared to undertake a swimming test.  Candidates must have excellent customer service, good interpersonal skills, demonstrate good judgment, be able to work effectively as part of a team and enjoy working in leisure, and willing to work at other sites. 

All applicants must have a current NLPQ Pool Lifeguard qualification, and a National Governing Body recognised coaching qualification is desirable.

Candidates will be required to work on a shift rota basis and may be required to change working hours and move work locations in response to the needs of the service and/or special events.
